Celebrate Christmas

Hi all, it is Monday and I have left it to the last minute to create a card using this weeks sketch from Mojo Monday #366!
It is an easy sketch to use and I have used a candle diecut for my main feature ...
here is a close up of the candles and holly leaf
materials - Kaisercraft spearmint and slice cardstock; MME 'Mistletoe Magic' papers; Cottage Cutz petite candle diecut; Spellbinders oval nesties; Die-versions merry christmas wordlet; The Crafts Meow 'celebrate your inner elf' stamps; Versafine onyx black ink.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of the week.

Happy Holidays

So after a 6 month absence from the craft room (due to travelling!) I was excited that I managed my first card (in the previous post below) that I thought I would give the simple sketch from Sketch Saturday #327 a go ...

I love this sketch it is very versatile - I have rotated it 90 degrees and enlongated it.
materials - Kaisercraft cardstock - spearmint, licorice; My Minds Eye mistletoe magic papers; American Crafts chipboard thickers; MFT wonky border and christmas decorations dies; Hero Arts sayings stamps; Versafine onyx ink.
Thanks for looking.

Celebrate your inner elf

I have just had a 6 month break from the craft room (travelling around!) and it is very daunting sitting at the craft desk making a card when you are a little out of practice.  I thought I would try a little paper piecing to get my eye back in.
I followed the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch #92 ...
and have based the colours on this months challege at Scrapbook Boutique blog
materials used - Kaisercraft Cardstock - spearmint, cherry; Stamps - The Crafts Meow 'inner elf'; Versafine onyx ink; Kaisercraft silver rhinestones; silver cord; split rings.
Thanks for looking.

Just a note ...

'Allo, 'allo, 'allo :)  It has been a while since I last posted (beginning of December!)  Since then Christmas and New Years has been and gone and now looking at the date we are already half way through January.
Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you,  it is stinking hot here in Melbourne, if you are watching the tennis the poor athletes are suffering in the 40 degrees plus temperatures and I have to admit that I did suffer that type of heat making this card in my craft room!  It gets the hot afternoon sun so I sort of quickly made it and got out of there and have come to the lounge where the air conditioner is to post it on my blog.  Personally I don't mind the heat wave we are going through at the moment.
The clean and simple card is for Top Tip Tuesday - CAS, I have followed the sketch from Annabelle Stamps (AC175) and have used the recipe from The Pink Elephant - 2 patterned papers, 1 border die/punch and 1 heart.
 here is my card ...

not sure where the heart stamp is from (I found it buried at them bottom of my stamp collection!), the butterfly and title is from Annabelle Stamps 'cherry blossom' stamp set.
materials - vanilla cardstock, Core 'dinations sunflower cardstock, Kaisercraft duck egg cardstock; Pink Paislee 'prairie hill' papers; Annabelle stamps 'cherry blossom' stamp set, heart ???; Versafine onyx black ink; MFT mini tab quartet and notebook edge dies.
Have a lovely afternoon everyone and don't suffer too much with the heat ... me I am going to have a game or 2 of 'rummykub' - I learnt this game while on Pitcairn Island and became addicted to it (a bit like the card game gin rummy but with tiles) so Neil bought me it at Xmas ... so far I have gone from minus 189 points to only minus 25 but now I am back at minus 69 points ... I need to concentrate more!
